The opening reception will be on Saturday, September 13th as part of Mendocino’s Second Saturday festivities. There is a Ceramics Sale scheduled for November 22, 10 am – 4 pm at the Fort Bragg Grange hall, 6 miles north of Fort Bragg on Highway One. It’s a large, well lit place with large tables to display ceramic art. The Grange requests a 25% donation of sales and a donation of baked goodies for the bake sale. It should be fun.

On Saturday, May 10, the Gallery Exhibition/Portfolio Development class of the College of the Redwoods Fort Bragg Campus will hold the opening reception for their show, Art Sparks, at the Mendocino Art Center. The opening reception will take place in conjunction with Second Saturday festivities at the Art Center and throughout Mendocino, and the show will be on display through Wednesday, May 13, in the Rogan Studio.
The exhibition will include ceramics, paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculpture by the members of the Gallery Exhibition class. The show will showcase work the class has done at the art department of the CR Mendocino campus. The members of the class hope thereby to remind the public that in spite of efforts by Eureka to close the Fort Bragg campus of College of the Redwoods, classes continue (for now), and students continue to learn and create.
Please pass this information around to all your friends and neighbors. Check out the nifty attached poster created in class to advertise the event.
